Anastrozole, a generic name for the medication Armotraz, is an important factor in the treatment of breast cancer. Armotraz functions as an aromatase inhibitor, preventing the enzyme aromatase from turning androgens into estrogen. Armotraz efficiently lowers estrogen levels in the body by preventing the generation of estrogen, which is especially advantageous for hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. The ability of Armotraz to inhibit the proliferation of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer cells is a noteworthy advantage.
