In India, the Government has been doing free distribution camps for Wheelchairs for the differently abled ones.
This is also mimicked by various NGOs and philanthropists. Good for the people in need but the issue is distribution of the RIGHT WHEELCHAIRS and their follow-up.
In most cases, the free wheelchair is only a basic manual wheelchair, of the same dimensions, that is not FIT for all. Also, post distribution, no one follows up with the user about the appropriateness and usage of the same.
Hence, it needs to be addressed.
