A testing center is a facility that usually performs technical tests with a mannequin or test platform on a mobility device and/or its components. Usually, a manufacturer sends a wheelchair, wheelchair components and/or parts to a Testing Center where it will undergo different tests to determine safety, performance, durability, and ultimately its quality.

There are multiple testing methods, some of them follow international standards such as ISO, EN, among others. Some other testing methods can be local tests and these will be regulated by a national institution.
